Here’s a toast celebrating not only 40 years as a unique botanical venue for public education and enjoyment, but 200 years since Allen County was officially born. During the Raise a Glass! Garden Exhibit, here from June 29-November 17, take advantage of $1 admission EVERY Thursday evening from 5-8 pm. Cheers to the Botanical Conservatory as a community treasure serving over 3,000,000 tourists and residents since opening its doors in 1983…AND here’s to Allen County having been established in 1824 with 400,000+ residents thriving and residing today. Together, the Botanical Conservatory and Bicentennial Executive Board wish to celebrate the past, present and future with YOU!

Fall Plant Swap

Swap quality established plants with fellow plant enthusiasts and bring home the same amount of plants, if not more! Perennials, bulbs and houseplants are preferable this fall. Please label ahead of time and bring a carrier for transporting. Swaps are FREE, though space is limited. Registered participants are given priority. Reserve your spot by calling (260) 427-6000. Be a Tourist at the Botanical Conservatory

Celebrate 40 years with your local public garden when Allen County is also celebrating its 200th Anniversary! On this day from 12:00-4:00 p.m., everyone receives FREE admission and is invited to explore diverse plant collections while touring indoor and outdoor destinations at the Botanical Conservatory. Join in the celebration and take part in a vibrant future with the “Raise a Glass!” Garden Exhibit. In partnership with Allen County Bicentennial and Visit Fort Wayne.

Fall Bonsai Show

Saturday, September 21, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St.

Immerse yourself in the beauty and charm of miniature trees patiently cultivated. The Botanical Conservatory hosts this stunning display of bonsai when members of the Fort Wayne Bonsai Club are available to answer questions on the ancient art form. A selection of beginning bonsai specimen and pots are available for cash-only purchase. Welcome fall while embracing a new art! Show entry included with general admission.

Garden Trick-or-Treat

Just in time for Halloween, round up the kiddos for family-friendly festivities at the Botanical Conservatory! Snap boo-tiful photos when showing off your favorite costume and visiting friendly stops with tricks and treats along the way. Also take in the crisp air and vibrant fall colors as you stroll along this year’s Pumpkin Path Display.
