Embrace summer while relaxing the body and focusing the mind with certified T’ai Chi instructor, Sandy Gebhard. As an instructor skilled in guiding movement through the Sun Style Form of T’ai Chi, Sandy modifies movement to suit instruction for students ranging from beginning to advanced. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable fitting shoes. Class will be held outdoors in the shade, weather permitting. Includes individual garden admission during public hours. Ages 18+. Transition into fall with returning instructor, Liz Monnier. While practicing T’ai Chi in the method of Qigong, prepare your mind, body and internal center for the changing of the seasons. As a certified instructor, Liz guides movement to promote relaxation, healing and harmony. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable fitting shoes. Bones for Life Tuesday, October 01, 2024

Bones for Life®

Enhance posture and decrease pain with this six-part series guided by Liz Monnier, a certified Bones for Life® instructor and Feldenkrais® practitioner. Through natural, gentle movement, this practice aids in the fight against osteoporosis by improving the overall strength and health of your bones. While effective practice includes standing, walking, sitting and lying on the floor, individual modifications are offered to accommodate any restrictions. Removing shoes is recommended for best results. Please bring your own yoga mat or blanket, a long scarf and small hand towel. This autumn season, create your own living décor when pairing pumpkins with succulents as part of this popular returning workshop. Arrange individual succulent cuttings on miniature-sized pumpkins, and also learn expert tips on how to maintain and multiply your new plant babies once the season is over. Cornucopia Centerpiece

Come together in this bountiful harvest workshop at the Botanical Conservatory. Register with friends, and with gratitude, assemble an overflowing centerpiece with accomplished floral designer, Dennis Bowman. Both fresh and faux autumn imagery are provided, though you are welcome to incorporate your own festive accents. Admission to the gardens is also included. Ages 15+.
