Learn about late (or early) seed sowing with Advanced Master Gardener Kathy Lee. Did you know there are many seeds that go through a stage of moist cold that helps them to germinate? Native plants do this and sometimes even your own flowers or vegetables may “volunteer” in the spring. Kathy will show you an easy way to do this same process on your own with a method known as fall or winter seed sowing. She will also bring samples of items from around the house as possible planters to be exposed to the elements. Along with an informational brochure, you will receive a packet of seeds that can be planted this winter. Free garden admission and refreshments are included. Ages 15+. Registration deadline: January 11. Min. 5. Max. 20.
