Mother’s Day Plant Sale

Friday, May 9, 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 10, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 11, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Just in time for spring planting, the Botanical Conservatory offers over 700 varieties of plants at the annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale. Shop masses of locally grown herbs, vegetable starts, flowering perennials and native plants joining a host of annuals, mixed containers, hanging baskets, bonsai and houseplants. Essentials like potting soil and compost worms are also available. A team of knowledgeable plant advisors are even ready to answer questions and offer suggestions! Plants Help Grow Young Minds and Good Citizens

The School Children’s Flower & Vegetable Association continues 99-year tradition   

Fort Wayne, Ind –For the 99^th year, plants grown in the Lawton Park Greenhouse will be delivered to Fort Wayne students in kindergarten to grade three this week as a part of the beloved School Children’s Flower and Vegetable Association (SCFVA) program. Students are responsible to grow their plants and seeds which they enter in their schools’ annual Plant, Flower and Vegetable Shows held in late summer or early fall.

Color in Motion: Live Butterfly Exhibit!

Tuesday, April 15 – June 22, public hours

Live butterflies have landed at the Botanical Conservatory bringing with them an array of natural beauty and wonder. Watch in awe, their wings in flight, as they flash with color pigments and refracted light. Observe exotic butterflies emerging from their chrysalides right before your eyes! An epic display of multicolored flowers and foliage elevates this annual spring exhibit. The Great Train Connection

Friday to Sunday, March 14 – 16, public hours

All aboard the Botanical Conservatory’s Great Train Connection! As part of this special event, journey through the profuse railroad history of Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana, maneuver trains via timesaver switching puzzles and imagine yourself as the conductor of various model train sets ranging from tiny N scale up to G scale.
