From summer to fall we celebrate our German twin, the City of Gera, with a special garden. A European-style town square, casual biergarten, and practical cottage garden will give Conservatory visitors a taste of the region of Thuringia, “the green heart of Germany.” Established in medieval times but influenced by the modern era, Gera is different than familiar Bavaria. Explore the culture of Germany with interpretive displays with a spotlight on Gera respect for both nature and history. Join us in discovering more about Gera, our German sister city since 1992.
