Mothers are invited to visit the Botanical Conservatory FREE on Mother’s Day, to stroll in the gardens, browse in the gift shop and enjoy the Butterfly Showcase exhibit. Darlene Hackett will perform music on the hammered dulcimer 1:00-3:00 p.m. All others pay regular admission: $4 adult, $2/child age 3-17, free for age 2 and under. About 400 different kinds of plants will be offered for sale by the Botanical Conservatory at our 3-day public plant sale this year. You’ll see more herbs, tomatoes and foliage perennials along with the usual great quality annuals, perennials, tropicals, color bowls, mixed containers and hanging baskets. These sturdy plants are grown at our own Lawton Park Greenhouse and sold as a fundraiser to help support the Conservatory’s continued operations. The supply is constantly replenished throughout the weekend, but come early for best selection.
