"Changing Tides"

Winter Garden Exhibit, January 10-April 5

This winter, the Conservatory has invited internationally-known artist Sayaka Ganz to install an imaginative seascape in the midst of our lush Showcase Garden using recycled materials. Discarded everyday items such as plastic forks, knives and bowls are reborn with new purpose and meaning, transformed by the artist into colorful and lifelike sculptures of jellyfish, kelp, dolphins and coral reef. You can practice seeing the possibilities for yourself as you try your hand with “one man’s trash” in our hands-on Discovery Gallery. Let the beauty of this ocean scene inspire you to do more than recycle waste items – consider their value and start upcycling.
