Drought-Resistant Gardens
One of the most financially and environmentally costly aspects of gardening is water usage. We will talk about how to improve the water-holding capacity of your soil so that you can use less water throughout the year. Topics for discussion include: what an inch of water means for plants, the effect of organic matter on water-holding capacity, and how much water it takes to grow your favorite veggies  Instructor Art Stahlhut has decades of experience in producing successful crops in raised bed systems. Ages 15+. Registration deadline: January 12. Min. 8. Max. 20.
